Bonus PowerPoint Seminars
The two PowerPoint presentations Forces on the Spine and Back Pain are based on teaching materials developed over many years by Professor Mike Adams and Dr Trish Dolan at the University of Bristol, UK.
They are aimed primarily at undergraduate medical students and physical therapists. However, with the addition of slides depicting data from the latest scientific research papers, the material could be expanded into 2-3 hour seminars suitable for final year biomedical science undergraduates, or for post-graduate courses for physical therapists and surgeons.
Most images are from the Third Edition of The Biomechanics of Back Pain and the text is entirely consistent with the multi-disciplinary approach adopted in the book. Selected slides can be edited and combined with other images and text from the book to suit the individual presenter. All animations have been removed so that they can be re-applied to suit presentation style.
The third slide set introduces the psychosocial flags framework and the manual Tackling Musculoskeletal Problems: A Guide for Clinic and Workplace.
